Title: Snow chains or snow socks Post by Pegasus on Dec 5th, 2005, 10:16pm Hi All, anyone had experience with snow chains and the Scorp (esp the Cosworth's alloys) seen these advertised recently for £79 http://www.carparts-direct.co.uk and what about these socks, also at £75 for 225/50/16s http://www.roofbox.co.uk Although I'm not about to go over the alps any comments on what appears best appreciated as I'm thinking of investing in some. :-/ Cheers, Paul |

Title: Re: Snow chains or snow socks Post by Big_Green_Tank on Dec 12th, 2005, 12:39pm Yeah we had similar stuff to attach to plastic cross country skis years ago when I was in the Royal Marines in Norway, called them ski climbers. It was before they could get wax to adhere to the bottom of plastic skis. Long time ago!!! They worked well then but slowed the skiing down going downhill Bob |
