Hi All,

anyone had experience with snow chains and the Scorp (esp the Cosworth's alloys) seen these advertised recently for £79 http://www.carparts-direct.co.uk

and what about these socks, also at £75 for 225/50/16s http://www.roofbox.co.uk

Although I'm not about to go over the alps any comments on what appears best appreciated as I'm thinking of investing in some. :-/

hi there

the handbook states not to use chains on the 16" wheel size :-/

Ive got the snow scoks on my scorp.!

Ive tested it to with spike tyres, on steel ice, it works quite well...
Light, werry easy to tread them over the tyres, takes no space...

(and if i remember corectly its a Norwegan Invetion... ;) hehe )

Yeah we had similar stuff to attach to plastic cross country skis years ago when I was in the Royal Marines in Norway, called them ski climbers.
It was before they could get wax to adhere to the bottom of plastic skis. Long time ago!!!
They worked well then but slowed the skiing down going downhill
