Hi all hope you all had a good xmas went on my yearly run to scotland to see the family and i dint see one scorp i read a post on how many r on the road is that true or not and is it goin to get harder for parts for them as time plods on ???

I don't know how much scorps there are in your country but i can say that in my city Bucharest (Romania) there are about 5-6 scorps, and with Vlad Soare there are about 7 ;D. Beside Vlad who is a member here and a verry good friend, the other owners are so proud of their cars that they can't see you that are driving a similar car :-[ :P. As for parts i think the real year of that the scorp will start to go low on components it will be 2008, at least it should be 10 years from the last production date.

And a few statistic:

Cars on internet sales: about 2 per mounth and they are the same but with other owners
Scorpio at breakings:
found 2 of them in 1 year and they cost between 50-60 % of an working scorp.
Found a cheap scorp on sale over internet, a working one, the main problem with Romania is that we have a stupid law that forbids us to register a car older than 8 years, the only way to use a "old" car is to buy it allredy registerd from another owner. >:(.

Well, in my small Scottish town there are two roadworthy Scorps ( including mine ), so the species, far from being endangered, has a small and healthy population.

I think mr Highlander is planning to slowly "aquire" every single roadworthy scorp left, and sell them one by one, for a high price when nobody else has them :-P

mmm so there not as rare as thought ;D its just that iv been findin it hard to buy parts for it 2.0 16v man n reg and now this wish bone has just started to make some exspensive noises :( iv been getin qoutes of £128 for one :o

Is it the ball joint thats gone or just the bushes?
You only need the whole arm if its the balljoint.
Bushes can be fitted without renewing the whole thing, a lot cheaper too..

NuttyScorp only has the one Scorpio (a couple of Granadas though).

The thing is, I keep seeing his one around. :)
