I have been with Vodafone for 16+ years now,but started to look at O2 tarriffs wich seem much cheaper on a contract.

I believe the coverage is better with Vodafone ,and I have had no problems as I travel mainly round scotland.

Should I change?

ive recently changed to vodafone, from o2, i was with o2 for around 4 yrs, reason for change was the model of phone i wanted, which was not available on o2, at that time. i live in kent, and had a better coverage with o2, than i do vodafone.

when my contract is up, 99% sure i will return to o2. good custumer services all round, and easily on par with vodafone, if not better.
best to check coverage in your area first, regardless of who you choose.

i have both vodafone and o2, as i can be in some pretty remote places, but on the whole i prefer o2, better all round, and cheaper too

Iv had a 3g contract for a year coverage is poor very poor spend most of my time at pay phones im hopein to get a good deal with o2 contract end of jan

I have had an O2 contract since the days of them being Genie. If you have a 3G contract it shares the same network as O2 as the are esensal the same company. The drawback is if as a 3G customer you are making a call and a O2 customer wants to make a call using the same line and satalit that you are using, you as a 3G customer will be disconected and you will have to redial when it becomes free again. This is because all O2 customers have preference over 3 G. My B/inlaw works for BT which 3G and O2 are a subsidery of. Never had a dropped signal with O2 always 100% coverage.

I was with Genie too.. when they finished it I transferred to the same tarriff with O2 pay as you go. I put £10 on once a month and for that I get 300 free texts and something like 5 hours free wap... the £10 remains in my credit balance to spend on regular calls etc. I often find myself with over £20 built up through lack of use. Dead cheap. Signal average. I've heard that all networks are roughly the same with the exception of orange, which is absolutely brilliant. MMmm
