Title: Fuel guage Post by Butterfingers on Feb 19th, 2006, 9:51pm When you fill the scorpio right up to full mark, does your fuel guage go slightly off the scale at the top like on other cars? Or does it stay level at the end? Mine stays level at the end. But on every other car I've ever owned it always goes off the scale. |

Title: Re: Fuel guage Post by Butterfingers on Feb 19th, 2006, 10:00pm Thanks for that. I thought mine was cutting out too soon before full, but probably not then. |

Title: Re: Fuel guage Post by kskjon on Feb 20th, 2006, 9:56pm Mine stops right at the line when full.. But seems to show less than actual amount when getting close to empty. Red line seems to be at 15 litres or so. |

Title: Re: Fuel guage Post by Penguin on Feb 24th, 2006, 9:31pm The guage is accurate on mine (never goes over the line when full) but the trip computer "miles to refill" is not accurate from a full tank until the car has done about 50 miles. Cheers Penguin |

Title: Re: Fuel guage Post by invernessguy on Feb 28th, 2006, 5:31am my fuel guage never goes over the line either... sometimes takes a few mins to go right to the top? Also, who has travelled the furthest with 0 miles left on the computer? i managed 18 miles before i reached the nearest petrol station.... and every one of them was sweated out donnie |

Title: Re: Fuel guage Post by mr._floppy on Feb 28th, 2006, 10:43am Not that I plan to do it but, is there a knack of starting a refuelled Scorp after it has run out of gas ? Do the injectors have to be primed or removed or do you just caw the engine till it starts ? |

Title: Re: Fuel guage Post by Dave on Feb 28th, 2006, 10:56am If it is a diesel the fuel system needs to be bled free of air. Some diesels do this for you when you crank it over, others have a hand pump, others need a garage to do it. If it is petrol then just start it up again, but it may not run that great for a while as any crud lurking at the bottom of the tank will have been sucked up through the lines and injectors. |
