Thursday 6 April 2006
DEFRA report today that with the much feared arrival of avian flu in Scotland, it has formed a new task force to combat the spread of the illness before it becomes an epidemic. See picture attached of the unit in action.

Chicken says "Look you two have no idea what your on about, all I have to do is sneaze and the whole country run around pooting themselves" ;)

I actually live in Cellard**e - yes, that place nobody has ever heard of until today.

All day, police, journalists, tv presenters, helicopters buzzing around - so unreal - this is just a quiet fishing village on the Forth!!

Looks really nice on TV though. Realise once again why I moved here - you forget as time passes.

My kids have been out all day trying to get on TV, and my daughter has been interviewed by six or seven national newspapers - but why!!

The media just loves to hype this stuff.

But we are all in mortal danger now.......bird flu is here and we are all going to die a horrible death........must be true, the government says so!!

Well the goverment carried out mass vacination of all 'important' government officials at the end of last year and have a large stockpile for other 'important' folk if this kicks off proper. All of this was on the QT of coarse....... 'NOTHING TO SEE HERE, NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, PLEASE MOVE ALONG'......

Don't thin the whole bird flu epidemic is going to happen. The register had a couple of quite informative articles on the subject
