Title: learner drivers
Post by cossie_al on Apr 8th, 2006, 10:46pm
As I have posted previously my good lady is at last leaning to drive.
After having being laughed at by various insurance companies to put her on the scorp policey we decided another motor was required so I said heres fifteen hunderd notes find a car you like the look of and I will go over it.
So I was asked to go and see a car at a local second hand dealer it was a french peugeot type thingy, 206 apparently had a good look over and under the car and all appeared sound.
she asked well is it any good?
I said its a bargain at fiteen hundered quid
but it was actualy two grand how the hell did that happen?
To get back to the point she has to drive all the time and that means I have to sit in.
The french do not make comfy seets at all, Infact I had a citroen with uncumfy seets as well.
Whats this got to do with scorps you say.
Well got in and drove mine today for the first time in three weaks and oh boy its comfy fast and nice to be in etc  etc
I almost forgot what luxury we are used to. ;D ;D ;D

when my wife started to learn to drive nearly 2 years ago,i decided to enquire about putting her on my policy with norwich union as a learner.....
i was actually very pleasently suprised that my premium went DOWN by £27.00 a year..... :o :o...
i was given a discount as we are married, and i was expecting it to go up,just goes to show insurance companies are not are all bad

When mine went in for the head problem I started using my granada scorpio and even that didn't come close to the comfort of the scorp !

My Scorpio is probably _the_ most comfortable car I've driven, even beating almost brand new BMWs. I find the Scorpio to be a lot more fun to drive than the BMWs (haven't tried any M-serieses yet, although they are probably a lot better than the standard beemer). Beemers seem to have a very dead steering/suspension with no feedback to the driver whatsoever, which imo tends to make them a dull ride.
