Anybody ever fitted a PA sytem to a car and where would I track one down?

The alternative (open the sunroof and shout) won't do.

Ideas appreciated.

That gives me a start, I did the usual ebay thing but they all seemed to be in the US or Australia.

Actually an american cop car bull horn might do the trick. ;D

I used to have a CB radio with a pa system built in, you do need an external speaker though.

Hi Geoff mate

The Siren units used in the US cop cars all have 100w amplifiers built in 1) so they can re-broadcast radio transmissions through the siren speaker if they are outside the car and 2) so they can use it as a PA system to shout at law breakers to pull over. I must say it’s a rather effective system and very loud.

Any particular reason you want to put a PA on your car Geoff ;)

100watt is a bit too beefy.

Just need to be able to talk to people by the street load...maybe

ive fit my pa system in to a small van , when my dancers were doing the lord mayor street prossesion , i ran it of a genarator though. 2 very large speakers lol and very powerful amp through the city the ground was shaking and windows were vibrating lol and i was told at the end i had the best loudest music of the day lol i had to wear ear plugs though , here is a link to small pa systems u will hve to look through the site they even sell recording booths , http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/shop/browse/category_id/0a89e045055975006255397ecc8cb2ce
