Sorry, I do like animals, but dogs on seats ( both car and house)
put my teeth on edge and I have to supress my urge to shout " OFF

THE BLUDDIE CHAIR " ( even in other people's houses ).

Nowt worse than accepting a lift from yer dog loving mate and finding dog hairs all over your best tin flute and unaccountable skin itchiness for the next week. :-[

I would add some pics of my dog, but the last time I did that, I got shot down in flames for it (on another forum).

Despite the fact that it was in an area specifically for that kind of thing, it gave people the hump and so I don't bother any more. :-[

a friend of ours in glastonbury is probably the luckiest person i know,her pyrenean mountain dog has just given birth to 3 absolutely adorable puppies (if only they would stay this small)........

There does seem to be a bit of confusion here about what kind of animal a dog actually is. :)
A dog is a dog....it isn't a guinea pig, or a bunny, & before someone posts one, it definately ain't a cat :o.

Sorry...I forgot, there was a kitten on here once, but it seems to have gone. Must have been eaten by a dog ;D

I know I'm going to be accused of hypocracy now, but seeing that ugly dude reminded me of my (deceased) hamster, Marshall, who suffered from acute baldness in later life.
Before you call the RSPCA don't worry, he was quite healthy & died at the grand old age of 3. He was only bald for the last 6 months of his life.

Our bunny (male) hasn't been near a bunny girl in the whole of his 14 yrs (poor fella) - probably why he has lived to 14 - which is about twice normal life expectancy! In't pets brilliant!!

We had a black Labradore (Bess) for 15 years, absolutely loved water, unfortunately her undercarriage went and we had to do the kind thing, heartbreaking... so we said we'd never have another one... :'(

lovely looking rough collie,we also had 1 about 16 years ago now,he was called Roscoe,and the amount of children that used to come up to me thinking he was Lassie,i can still see there faces now....
gorgeous loyal dogs,sadly our's "departed" (RIP boy),and i vowed then never to have another dog....
took us 14 years to get the Westie's....

But the house just wasn't the same without a dog.
We're hooked on collies, so we opted for a tri-colour (Max) this time so we weren't seeing Fudge when we looked at him. It was absolutely the right decision for he's lifted the whole household!.

OK...Heres my rabble....rotty is tia(12)...white staff tez(8)small staff cleo(14) and her son hogan (7)all rescued from abuse and we love em all dearly.They r getting on a bit now but still unbelievably fit.And as for the non believers out there regarding so called visious dogs.....all 4 can be found most days on my sons bed with him and have been since he was a toddler

A nice bunch Cleave. Re the 'nasty' reputation Staffies have.. It's a shame and should be kept in context. Nastiness is not breed specific. Dogs are like children, if they are brought up with love and taught good manners and self control, they are fine members of society. Unfortunately SOME staffy owners see the dogs as an extension of their own personality.. and are encouraged to be aggressive and nasty. These are a minority, but it's these that make the news headlines.
Of course there is another side of the coin also., My collie does not have an aggressive bone in his body, but.... His favourite toy is a teddy, which he throws around with gay abandon. For this reason I would never trust him alone with a baby. In his eyes it ressembles his toy too much.
Common sense needs to prevail...

Wanted to introduce the new family member. His name's Blake and he's 9 weeks old. He came into our lives on monday & we all love him to bits (exept the cats that is!!)
