if anyone on here highlights their hair (i know, pathetically trying to keep some youth), i've found the left over mixture is absolutely brilliant for cleaning the toilet, wall tiles etc......

do i win a prize for the most off topic off topic subject? 8)

I find WD40 is great for cleaning grease off the cooker hood. It glides through grease. beats Mr Muscle, Cillit Bang and all that any day. My wife approves as well!

Bleach is excellent for cleaning toilets etc & did you know that you can use it for highlighting your hair as well.....it might fall out though ;D

I would be interested in something that does the opposite. A drain cleaner that cleans my hair, 90% of my mop got flushed away many years ago.
It used to take longer to clear the plug hole than it did to wash it :-[ :-[

vodka cleans gold a treat (dont use it myself,bl**dy waste of vodka),but a usefull tip i learnt in the trade..

Apparently there's a great toilet cleaner/limescale remover which goes by the name of 'Coca Cola', apparently most Supermarkets and newsagents sell it and it comes in handy sized tins ;). If you can get hold of some, it's supposed to be very good - just don't try anything silly like drinking it ;D.
