just tried a google search for a decent directory of UK wireless hot spots for mobile internet access,does anybody happen to know of a half decent one on line,or is there one you can buy?.....
i know there are several "free" hotspots availiable in the UK,but trying to find out where they are is proving a problem,anyone here have any experience (i know starbucks and mcdonalds have a few,but i wanted a decent directory/map of such things)

Tried searching the biggest newspapers sites, bbc or something.?

in norway one of the newspapers have made a dedicated webpage with all the wlan/wifi spots in norway...

When we were on holiday with freinds we needed internet access to do some work on one of my freinds clients...

So we found a local phone booth, sat down with the laptop on the harbour front. Got credit card out, went to the internet..

And got straight through... Somone close by had a nice freindly unprotected connection :D :D :D ...

used it three times over the holiday.

If anyone has the money to invest in a novel, new Free WiFi HotSpot business then PM me. I've developed the technology (see www.dspot.co.uk) and am in the US tracking down investors over here but it's wide open for use in UK and Europe if anyone has the funds and ability to run it.

Software/Firmware is approx 90% complete and I have provisional patents on two aspects of the service.

It will be probably need a total of around 100k to get it running and profitable.

Just thought I'd throw that out there ;)
