Well my wife has gone and done it again >:(
This time she reversed into a mazda rx8 and did considerable damage to both cars.
The car was taken to my local main dealers repair centre and they assessed the damage to the tune of £957
After sending the info along with digital images to the insurance companies engineers they rang me to say the insurance WOULD repair the car :o
Now when the chap at the dealers first rang me he started talking about how old cars nead very little damage to make them a right off etc etc.
I told him I was an enthusiast and a member of the owners club and the car was not your average Nreg motor.
I remained calm and very polight throughout the conversation ;)
When he got to see the car he was astounded (his words) by the pre accident condition and he would relay this info to the insurance engineer.
So I reckon its worth keeping your guys at the dealership sweat when it comes to accidents.

What you say proves it can be done, it's not the end of the story if the insurance try and write the car off. You pay the premiums, it's your car after all ;)

God knows what damage she could do to herself with a bike :o :o
Despite all the recent damage to my beloved car I wouldnt want to see any harm come to her.
What does get my back up though is she has a perfectly good little motor to drive (well its good enough for a female anyway)
That will be the same car I spent an afternoon drianing the petrol from the diesel tank etc. }{ }{ }{

an ex girlfriend of mine is a legal assistant, she can sort out a divorce at special rate ;)

I reckon if I mention the 'D' word it is very likely the scorp would be the first to go.
So I will put up with it all if it means keaping the car especialy now she says she will never drive it again ;D ;D ;D
