I was on my way home from collecting my daughter from school and as I was waiting to turn right into my estate the approaching traffic was crawling at about 10 to 15 mph.
well, a police car stopped and flashed me to proceed as I took a closer look I realised that the wpc was using her right arm to flash the lights with the left indicator stalk.
Why did she do this........ because her left arm had her mobile phone firmly pressed on to her left ear.
Just goes to show it realy is one rule for us and another rule for them.
I did turn the car round as quickly as I could but could not get near enough to get a good shot on my camera phone. realy wish I had because it would hve been emailed to every news paper website I could find.

A commendable idea Cossie but a fruitless exercise, the police are usually exempt from the laws ( especially Road Traffic Violations ) that the rest of us mere mortals have to strictly adhere to. ???

Witness the plod who gets off for speeding in excess of 120mph while muggins here gets 3 points for doing 41 in a 30 limit.

The plod wouldnt have stood a chance mate she was in an escort or astra or something ;D

i think if it were reported to her station/commanding officer she would've been severely repremanded, senior officers officers dont like that sort of thing, gives a bad public image as i doubt there's an excuse for it, getting info from the CAD room by radio yes, but phone no. i doubt that the press would be that interested as it probably happens quite a lot.
