Title: Re: Motorbikes Post by 2tired on Oct 27th, 2006, 12:47am I've got a 2003 Fazer 1000 from new, which is distinctly faster than a 2 litre scorpio. I've toured with it to Southern Italy and also to Spain twice, so its got 24k miles on the clock, all of which were done without missing a beat. Regards Kevin |

Title: Re: Motorbikes Post by mazzy_j on Oct 28th, 2006, 7:07pm I had been on the look out for a geared 125 recently, but along came an 6 month old gilera runner 125 4 stroke for £500 and i couldn't say no. Today i've just finished putting the new 210cc barrel and piston in. Not your usual pikey hairdryer scooter ;) ;D As soon as i'm allowed over 33bhp i'll be wanting a ktm supermoto of some description (fun, and less chance of loosing me licence). Wouldn't mind the blade though if you decide to give it away ;) Matt |

Title: Re: Motorbikes Post by v4-max on Oct 28th, 2006, 7:48pm yep 147bhp, canadian import |

Title: Re: Motorbikes Post by taliban on Oct 28th, 2006, 10:12pm mazzy, you'd like my mates ktm, it was a spare bike in a race team that had lights, speedo and horn put on it to make it road legal, no engine balance shaft, no cush drive, no rear sub frame (so you cant take pillions), no de compressor, no ignition key. you have to build up the compression gently with the kick start then give it a hell of a kick. trouble is, with no de compressor if it doesnt fire up the kick back will send your leg over your head with unbelieveable force. but the thing is incredible to ride, the full racing promotive exhaust makes it louder than a ducati with a pair of termis, hit the revs right and it vibrates so much the cars become a blur and it will leave ANY sports bike in a puff of smoke from the line up to about 60 mph, in a sentence, its full on fun ;D |

Title: Re: Motorbikes Post by mazzy_j on Nov 6th, 2006, 9:33am taliban you tease :P Reminds of a few years back when my mate who lives on a farm bought himself a suzuki dr 500 (import) to get around the farm on. The only way of getting it going was kick start and the de-compresser had given up long long ago. You'd have to time where you start the kick from or it'd kick back and, yes, send your leg flying! Went like stink for an old bike ;D Heard many stories of feet being broken trying to start big singles, they all have leccy start now anyways but that wouldn't put me off. Matt |

Title: Re: Motorbikes Post by David_Balcon on Nov 6th, 2006, 5:35pm BMW R1150RS are my current wheels. A bit quicker than the Cosworth and 50mpg too ;D |
