Morning all,

am trying to get my hands on a Nintendo Wii. Pre-ordered one from Play.com literally 3 months ago but not sure if I am going to get one before Christmas. It is a present for a gaming nut who will be extremely upset if I don't manage to get one and my Christmas will go down the loo :-[

Any chance that anyone on here has surplus or knows anyone with one to sell?

Huge thanks to anyone that can help, and please no comments about rocking horse poo :D

i've been told game (http://www.game.co.uk) are getting some in, early next week (heard the guy in the shop on the phone to someone).

not sure if it helps.

also, they were on ebay, but the price was silly!

Apparently one went on eBay for £1000 :o Seem to be settling at roughly £300 which is better :-/

Search over. I buckled and got one from eBay :o

On the plus side it was from a guy only 10 miles away so I went and picked it up straight away. More money but job done ::)

Dave,

i hope you have read the papers laterly, nintendo are expected to recall over 3 million of the Wii to replace the strap on the back of them, they break off and can cause some serious damage, they've put people in hospital and some owners have had them go straigh through the tv and destroy it...

i'll tell you what dave they could have given it a better name! i've been refering to it as 'why-i' which i think is much better than what my little one tells me is actually pronounced 'wee' :-/

just to add to the last thread, my 6yr said its pronounced 'wee' as its fun to use- exciting like going on a sledge? my 15yr old said its called that because you take out your stick and use it by waving it around!

;D Brilliant, though I agree the "Why-i" would be better.

Until a few weeks before launch it was going to be called the Revolution, don't know why they changed.

It comes with a game called Wii Sports. When I told my Mum she thought I was being rude :D
