Title: Don't sell your Scorp!! Post by km449 on Dec 21st, 2006, 10:43pm 3 months and 5000 miles into my V reg Explorer, fabulous vehicle, can't not recommend it, does everything better than expected but oh........do I miss my Scorp. Ran a 97 2.3 Ultima Estate for 2 years up to 145k and got rid of it when the remote finally drove me mad, together with increasingly often momentarily loss of drive when in "D", added to the old rust bug beginning to take effect Bought it for 2300 sold it for 1000 and I see it everyday - it's like seeing an old flame daily! Pulls at the old heart strings!! You can see where this is heading can't you!!! Keith |

Title: Re: Don't sell your Scorp!! Post by TiberiuS on Dec 22nd, 2006, 9:22pm Hmmm...this reminds me of something... ::) I love my Jag to bits, best car I've ever driven by far - goes like a stabbed rat with that hungry growl, every toy you could imagine, everything heated/electric and the sound system is looooverly...but those folding rear seats were very handy, no chance of that in the Jag though unless I lose the rear subwoofers, fuel tank and part of the main fusebox/wire loom...ahhh well. The Jag is passionate lust, the Scorp is more...well, more of a stable, rounded character. Like practical long term relationship opposed to a weekend fling way away from home, lots of fun at the time but you start to regret it afterwards when you need more boot space or you become too scared to park it at Tesco's in case someone restyles the rear bumper... |

Title: Re: Don't sell your Scorp!! Post by km449 on Dec 23rd, 2006, 10:43pm Hooked? Me? Nah?? Down to 8 ebay views a day now, with counselling! Going cold turkey (at this time of year seems appropriate!) and I am trying hard not to look at any cossie scorp advert and to stick to the sensible 2.3. Not that I'm thinking of buying one of course (Santa are you listening!?!) I can do this, I CAN get through this!! :-[ Keith |
