Title: Re: wouldn't want to be his insurer!!!! Post by Spannerdemon on Mar 6th, 2007, 5:18pm It's funny isn't it. I've always said it. Many many times, these drivers in their super duper VERY expensive cars, are the lousiest drivers going. If he can afford a car like this, then he can afford the insurance. ;D Looks like he wasn't driving it sensibly anyway, as the police are doing him. HERE (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/surrey/6422215.stm) Isn't this similar to the one Clarkson was testing last year? ;) |

Title: Re: wouldn't want to be his insurer!!!! Post by TiberiuS on Mar 6th, 2007, 8:13pm Strange thing is that I saw that episode last night. I'm not into supercars but that is one helluva piece of engineering. My father used to say a loaded gun was harmless, the person holding it is the danger...same with something like this, the driver becomes the inferior part. If that was my car, it wouldn't even be allowed out in the wet, let alone on a busy road ::) Regards, Bruce. |

Title: Re: wouldn't want to be his insurer!!!! Post by Alastair on Mar 7th, 2007, 12:30pm I heard that the driver was actually hirng this car from an executive hire company ( only the second time they'd hired it) at £20000 a day. Hope that included insurance. Alastair |
