Aren't they that price new from FMD ?....& the postage  :o........must come wrapped in gold leaf  :o

Come on mate (I know you're reading this  ;))...you're just doing it for the wind up factor to annoy every member on here  ;)

You can't possibly think that anyone would pay that price for a second hand loom  ???

Reality....please  ::)

I've been down to your place, & you & your mate seemed like reasonable guys, so why try & sell Scorp parts that are massively over priced ?

Lets face it....not many people own Scorpio's, so who is gonna want to pay over the odds prices for spares when you can buy a donor car for a song ?

These cars are getting old now, so when something goes wrong it's pot luck whether you can get a good second hand spare.

Chances are that the spare is nearly as old as the one you want to replace & won't last very long. So unless the spare is cheap, then it's false economy to buy second hand parts, unless they come with a guarantee.

For the extortionate price this wiring loom is being sold for, then I would expect a complete guarantee that it is not brittle anywhere & has had no repair work done....even then, I would expect to it be around the £25.00 mark  :)

If you are still reading this, then far from me to tell you how to earn a living (we all have to do it  ;))...but personally, I don't think you're gonna create a personnal empire from selling Scorpio parts....especially at such high prices.

You could have so much more earning potential from this site if only you were to sell parts at realistic prices, with realistic postage costs  :)

.....Not entirely sure admin would agree with me though ?  :-/

I have mentioned this fact before, but for some reason the post was locked.....

Maybe a degree of stubborness between the two parties ?  :-/....for the good of all, it may need re-negotiating  ;)

Jesus Christ - £75 + Postage ?

My local ford dealer reckons they are £98+ VAT for a brand spanker.

It's breaking up anyway - you can see the binding coming undone...a sure sign that it's not much good :)

Remember having a good laugh over this chap when I was looking for parts. Making a profit is one thing but if you're selling second hand parts untested and unguaranteed at that price it's a con....plain and simple.

Regards, Bruce :).

JC,

It has been pointed out previously that Steve Saville was offered the option of advertising his services on this site in return for a fee to do so. He decided not to take up the offer and as such obviously now relies on threads like this in order to gain the free advertising he wants.

This is a captive market in respect of the spares he offers and the Admin here feel that he should at least contribute something to the running costs of the site for the privilege of taking advantage of that market.

There will always be the odd exception which usually comes on with the “I bought off him and he was OK” kind of response; but the majority view is that he is trying to take advantage of the rarity of our cars and use it to make excessive amounts of money off our members and indeed other owners not on this site.

There are many members on here and on other forums too, who can pass on parts without the need for massively inflated prices and many who do so usually pass on a percentage to the site as a result.

I am locking this subject down (just as previous ones about this guy have been) and would ask that in future; that posts such as these be avoided if possible
