I didn't think footie was footie anymore - no fans, just large corporate companies where the game and the fans (who got the big clubs to where they are) are secondary to profits.

Maybe that's what I find such a turn-off about football, all seems so false :(.

And then you get the CRICKET, well don't even go there ::)

My son-in-law is a big City supporter and he is doing his nut at even the thought of Sven - It could be the end of City, anyway he is not bothering with his season ticket this year.

[] with what you say about the game being more about profit now than football. It's sad that people like Roman Abramovich can come along with his millions and buy himself a squad of expensive players. And let's face it - Noddy could have managed that team and won what Jose Morenio won. No offence to any Chelsea fans out there of course ;)

i seem to recall that sven had one of the best england records that we ever had, do i stand corrected?

im not a city fan but im sure its not all doom and gloom sven might not have had the best time as an England manager even though his win- draw- lost stats are some of the best under any england manager.But remember where ever he has been a club manager in sweden , italy , spain he has won european , domestic and championship trophies.............man city are a big club and deserve a lot better than the rubbish they have had to put up with over the last few years........COME ON U SPURS....

I was meaning in previous seasons when Abramovich spent money on expensive players, not including that Russian bloke whos name escaspes me.
I think that it's a huge mistake, and [] that City are a huge club and deserve the best, I just think he's not the right man for us. :'(
