Title: Waste Veggie Oil
Post by Highlander on Aug 1st, 2007, 2:48pm
Just out of interest who else is running on it and whats your set up?

I collect mine from the local Indian and Italian takeaways

I have half a dozen 200 litres drums (thats 45 Gallons Simmo) which i fill in rotation and leave the oil to settle for as long as possible (until i need it) but usually a couple of weeks.

I then syphon the clear oil out and pump it via a fuel pump through a fuel filter and into 25 litre drums (5 Gallons Simmo) for filling the car.

My local chippie reckons he had a scotsman in last night trying to flog him a 25 litre drum of vegetable oil.
He says the drum was labelled "Scorpio". Had I ever heard of it?
It had a faint curry-ish aroma....... 8)

No one found my little 'play on words' posts slightly amusing then ?....a bit childish I suppose  ::)

It took me ages to go through the takeaway menu finding these dishes & what do I get ?....nothing, not even a Tee-Hee  ???...... ;D

...."calm down Jonny....the nice men in white coats will be here in the morning to take you on a nice long holiday & when you get back, you'll feel much better"  8) ........ maybe I'll learn how to paint with my toes  :D

See y'all soon in my next re-incarnation  ;)

Well I, for one, had a chuckle.  ;D
Hope this helps.

It doesn't help Highlander with his original question though.
