Hello everybody. I won a brand new ford corsair bumper a few weeks ago and the guy stipulated collection only. He won't budge although I have had a new rear posted to me for £15.00!

Could someone collect it from Kent and stick it in the post please?

The bumper is paid for already and I will obviously paypal or cheque to whoever can do it.

I don't want to leave it much longer as it has been a few weeks already

Whereabouts in Kent is it, I am down there regularly and I meet up with another driver who lives in Folkestone, could be a simple solution seeing as me and thee are only 2 miles away from each other up in't north.

Jaye, The bumper is now residing in my house , not a million miles from you, partly due to the postal strike and because it measures 1.6m and the Post Office will not take it as their limit is 1.5 as, so it appears, are a number of carriers !!!. Baz currently working on a solution!!. Mike.

Thanks for the offer Jaye but it is all in hand. Simmo has kidnapped it and is holding it to ransom in Kent and I have to organise a covert rescue mission

Because the post office SAS don't take it, I amd working on a solution to the probelm. Probably involving MOSAD and the bloke in the blue suit from Lazy Town!

You should consider putting this in the hands of the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE TEAM, it would make a good episode.... but don't forget to include the self destructing tape..... ;D

Have you tried Parcel Force Simmo ?

I used to work for Parcel Force & regularly delivered parcels over 1.5 metres. It must have been cheaper to use them than a courier because they paid me a pittance ::)

So what the government and the authorities don't want us to know is that it is impossible to sell, market, transport or deliver anything in England that is longer than 1.5 metres..... I bet that is another European directive!

there is always another solution, chop a bit off it then post will have to deliver .. and buy some araldite from ebay ..with the postal issues, i reckon they should both arrive at the same time or thereabouts
