Title: lewis couldn,t win,or could he?(wait &see)

mclaren were to blame for lewis not winning the championship. while they were fannying about between alonso and lewis, raikkonen sneaked thro, and deservedly took the honours. i,m afraid F1 is now like boxing ,it,s rank rotten with corruption.

It could also be because Kimi won more races or is that too simple.

I agree with big Neil here  ;).....I too think corruption now has a firm grip on F1.

It's always been there, anything that attracts such huge sponsorship deals & advertising has to have a certain amount of corruption & dodgy dealings. But this season has become so unbelievable it's as though it could have been scripted by Hollywood writers  ::)

It's had everything, the stalwart veterans, the red hot rookie, cheating, spying & even accusations of sabotage....they should make a movie of it, or maybe they already have  ;)

McLaren said they made a mistake it letting Hamilton go too long on the same tyres in China  ???

Hamilton would surely have had it in the bag in this race if he'd had new tyres  8)

I don't believe a team like McLaren would be capable of making such a simple & costly error.......unless the claims are true that certain F1 teams have been rumoured to be illegally spraying a chemical on their tryes to make them last a little bit longer....maybe just one lap ?  :-/

Or was there another reason for this mistake ?....maybe to make sure it would go to the wire & keep the hugely influencial & powerful betting syndicates happy.....hmmm  ;)

I do love a good conspiracy theory  ;D

i know where you,r coming from alastair, he did win more races and as brucie says "it s points that count". i just feel miffed that a brilliant talent only comes along every so often and to find that talent stifled by mismanagement sucks. he is certainly one to watch for the future. he has signed a contract with mclaren but do you think he will still be with them next year or will the big red one attract him?

Ferrari have sigend the two current drivers up to and including 2009/10 so there is NO place for him there and I think Hamiltn is signed up with McLaren for a few years yet . They have spent £14 million so far on him ...and thats without this year.

personally i think they'res a lot more that may or may not come out with all the spying etc.
i must admit i actually watched some f1 races this year, something i dont normally do as its soooooooooooo boring. for real entertainment in motorsport where races are won on the track and not by technical pit stops watch motogp, wsb, bsb etc.....
