:'(my scorpio was attacted monday night at my local pub i was playing pool came out to go home at 11.30pm car would not move felt like flat tyre when i looked 4 flat tyres all been cut open the tyres only 8 months old then landlord said you have been cut all down drivers side from boot to front of drivers door up & down all panels
insurance company said write off decause of age ( n )reg 1996 if i clamed i would loss my car as i could not buy it back
so repairing myself out of my pocket
tyres £252 for 4
paint 1 side of car about £350
total £602 dear night out :'(

she is back on road with all new tyres
painting the side will have to wait till after christmas

Ugh sorry to hear that my friend. Just can't understand someone putting that amount of effort into such mindless destruction ???

Just a thought,some of these dentmaster type people do scratch repairs.Had my rear quater done recently as it had a terrible scratch down it.About 12" long & really deep (steady girls).Anyway 2 hours & £75 later the results are excellent.You have to look REALLY hard to see the repair.Might be worth a try! P.S. I take it the pub didnt have any cctv ? How did the landlord know about the damage ? Did he see something ? Worth investigating

I will have a look to see if i have a local dentmaster
my scratch is about 10 ft down to metal
no cctv landlord was looking over his cars with a torch after i told about mine
landlord was good he let me use his 1 of his car to get home & next day to have tyres fitted & he let me borrow money for tyres he said pay me back in new year & he is claiming v.a.t. back & taking off my bill

During this time I was very much affected by the sheer trauma of what had happened so I certainly understand how you feel at the moment. ???
I can however offer this thought.

The feeling you get when the problem is finally resolved and the way it makes you proud to be driving a car that looks so nice after the mindless actions of a moron is almost worth the dilemna in the first place. :-/

These cars ARE something special (to us) we are the ones who care for them, I don't really understand it yet but maybe someday I will. ???

I used to own a (believe it or not) Wartburg ::) which I rebuilt twice in the 13 years of ownership, I don't know if you are familiar with these cars but it had a 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine and I thought it was brilliant (wish I had kept it now cos they are like hens teeth) (Dan).
Anyway I won't babble on. I hope you soon get the car sorted, and it will be worth doing believe me.....chin up :D

you always get lowlifes about like the one in a van who smashed my bumper it was in the drive not even on the road it did not even set the alarm off maybe that is not sensitive enough >:(
