Title: ISP= ORANGE
Post by Simmo on Dec 28th, 2007, 6:33pm
Does anyone have any tips on how to contact the ISP provider 'ORANGE' by telephone, other than going through their call centre. I know they have an address in Rotherham and.after previous problems, managed to get an 0845 number direct to an English guy who sorted the problem within hours. That number is now discontinued. Their registered office is in Reading but no number is listed for that with BT. Short of writing or e-mail. all of which are useless due to the plonkers on the other end. I'm stuck and unable to access the internet and thus the site.  (Right now I.m using the local library!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. ) Any advice welcome......I know dumping them is an option!!. Happy New Year to all, Simmo. ??? ??? ???

Assuming you know the name of the guy that helped you, have you tried a Google search for him?

We've just binned Julie's Orange SIM card.

She tried to top it up before our holiday but, apparently, you can't get the top-up cards any more :-/

We tried to register on-line from Melbourne, Alice Springs, Queenstown and a few other places. She rang them again and again and they took all the details to "confirm" the account details (we're talking about 4p credit at this point). They took all the credit card details and then said "system's not working call back later".

Several more calls in two weeks and just the same - she's now on Vodafone (who are, like all mobile companies, crap. But work pays for my 'phone so it's not like I care).

The Future's bright. The Future's - any color you like, just not that one...

Mike, i joined virgin a few weeks ago and so far so good, i arranged a saturday installation, they said between 1 and 6 pm, i thought 'here we go, that'll be 5.45', but the guy turned up at 1.30 and was gone by 2. their comms before installation was very good too, they even gave me a reminder phone call a few days before installation. i have also checked the broadband speed on the gadget shows tester thing and the result was virtually spot on....... 8)
however, 'getting a bit on' all those tv channels might confuse you...... ;D

Taliban, you'd expect Virgin (or telewest as was for me) to be about right with its speed rating as distance from exchange doesn't effect them as they use fibre optic I believe.

I'm with them for cable tv, broadband and phone and have found their customer service to be very good.
