Title: Shaken not stirred
Post by peteHull on Feb 27th, 2008, 6:30am
Hi all

was suddenly awoken last night at 12.56 by the sudden awareness that all was not as it should be.  It sounded as if an aeroplane or helicopter was hovering above the house causing a great wind, then the whole house seemed to move to and fro and I realised.... ho it's only an earthquake  ??? . after a few minutes all was VERY quiet again.

What a strange phenomena, what was anyone elses experience of this, awesome or what?.... certainly frightening.....

Pete

To be honest we found it quite frightening to begin with.., when you're in a deep sleep and awakened by the house shaking, bed shaking and radiators clunking,,in those few seconds it takes to become compos mentos you don't really comprehend whats happening. Spooky!!!    :o

Apparently they first thought the epicentre was in Liverpool, but then realised the bricks lying on the side of the road are normal  ;D

;D ;D ;D

I was up late Tuesday, never noticed a bloomin' thing ::)

At the time it struck I was probably sitting with my ear cans on, sipping my way through my third Guinness..

Solution: Buy a pair of ear cans and a crate of Guinness and never worry again about earthquakes, UFOs, chavs, wildcats, crime or global warming ::)

That's my manifesto when I stand for mayor ;)
