Title: Scorpio No 6!!
Post by Matt on Mar 8th, 2008, 12:50pm
Went walking round my local scrappy today looking for a headlight for a saxo of all things and found this little beauty!

shes a 2.3 ultima (auto) 187000 miles, starts runs and go's, and fully loaded with the leccy bits, even has its battery cover and plastic wing nut!

reason shes in there, the owner didnt want her any more and couldn't be bothered to go through the process of selling it!!!

its got the usual rusty rear arches but not very bad and a flat tyre and some one has helped them selves to the rear speakers

apart from that she complete and will soon be in my ownership! wooo ;D

Crikey Matt, that car is a beauty :o

What's the colour called mate? I've seen a couple of facelifts in that colour and it looks really smart :)

Matt for £300 you cant go wrong  ;) Especially if the bumpers are in good condition.I have been chasing a 12v ultima which was basically swiss cheese but had a good engine which was going into a mates transit.I offered him £200 which he turned down because (allegedly) steel is now £175 per ton  :o :o.So either way you cant loose at £300  ;D ;D.If i dont see you this sunday i might pop round & annoy you in the week  ;D ;D ;D.Have a look at your new purchase  ;)

187,000 miles ? Nicely run in I'd say  ;D

Looks a real nice motor, well done to you - got to be the bargain of the week by a long way.

Also noticed it has headlamp washers !!!

Hope you get much pleasure and many trouble free miles from it.

 Matt.
I notice that your great scrapyard find has, like so very many other Scorps,a Peterborough(now Cambs)reg number. It had occurred to me that our local FMD must have made a killing then. However local  knowledge has it that there was a big holding compound near here full of hard to sell Scorps, and therefore they were locally registered.I would be interested to hear from others who may Know about this.
                         GOZZ.
