Took the old Scorp for a oil and filter change to a well known tyre fitting outfit today.

Got it home and the splashguard is missing :o

They admit taking it off but can't account for it
not being re-fitted and its mysterious disappearance.

He asked if it fell off on the way home, I think I would have noticed that !!!!

They say they'll have a look around the workshop tomorrow
( I mean it's hardly small is it ? ).

Is it making any knocking sounds,they may have forgotten to put oil in it ::) no wonder the country's in such a maul eh !

If they cant find it let me know, i have a couple of spare ones ;) can drop it off in Dundee too ;)

Thanks for the offer Highlander they phoned this morning, the young trainee lad who changed the oil forgot to put it back on, neglected ( scared more like ) to tell his boss, and watched me drive off without it !!!

The lad concerned has been roundly chastised.

They will refit it on Saturday ( a 34 mile round trip at my expense :-[) .

Needless to say I won't be using them again.

how many times will you people with scorps be told , don,t use quick fiddle or ****ords because they will sting you, as they are fast fit and fast profit organisations and your satisfaction is of no importance to them!(this isn,t heresay or guesswork , been there done that,when i used to use FMD my cars all came out with more problems than they went in with)

check the oil level..........asap, some years ago i was passing one of those outfits they were advertising oil & filter change as cheap as i could do it myself, thats handy, saves me getting dirty. on the way home i noticed the engine was a tad noisy, when i checked the oil level it only just made it to the minimum mark. i complained to the manager and he just said thats the satisfactory level for the vehicle....

there is a main dealer in carlisle (not FMD) offering mot,s for £20! believe me when i say not one car passes, it is a ploy to get customers in for work as they are desperate for it.
