joe satriani showed everyone who came along to the hammersmith apollo last night why he is the very best guitarist in the world,my daughter and i have seen him 5 times over the past few years (and again last night) and each time he continues to amaze the gathered audience with what he can do with a six string, thank you joe for a great evening of entertainment. 8).regards 2 very happy fans. :).

hi to you pegasus,you do have taste my friend.one thing that always amazes us is the age groups of the people that go to see him,teenagers-families with there children of about 10 years old-couples who looked to be in there mid 60s-mums with there sons and daughters. :).it was great to share the evening with them all.and we was all there to see the very best guitarist in the world. :).regards den.

Saw him play a small show in nevada back in 2002 ,along with Steve vai & Harry cody ;D ;D.Really great show .Currently got Surfing with the alien in the cd player ;).Have you ever seen Malmsteen ? ? .A little repetative but by god he,s fast.I bought one of his tutorial books & video years ago 7 still havent got through it ;D ;D ;D

hi all,nice one tons of fun....not seen malmsteem as yet,seen him on you-tube... :)....its great to watch videos..dvds and you-tube showing joe satriani...but to get the real insight to him..you must see him live..adam..he did form his own band back in the early 1980s...and he did tour with the rolling stones and deep purple playing guitar for both bands,..adam go on you-tube and type in joe satriani...and watch to videos...funny thing is im 1 day older than joe.... :).

Joe Satriani is one of the greatest guitar players in the world, but unlike the equally talented Steve Vai, he has never joined a band.......Why not ?.......Big ego ? ::)

Steve Vai, in Dave Lee Roths band was awesome, but in Whitesnake, I suppose he had go with the flow ::)

I like Satriani's stuff to a certain point, but find it slightly over indulgent....& he definately can't sing ::)

Personally, my favourite guitarist is Gary Moore 8)......

He may not be as technically gifted as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, but when Gary Moore plays a guitar solo, it has alot of grit, emotion & feel....& it sounds like it comes from the heart :)

great input jon :),joe seems to favour the more solo arrangement when playing..he drafts in a bass player and a skinsman..and thats ok...your right..about the vocal side..im glad he dont sing that often,remember joe taught steve vai to play (and a good few others)..so they will sound very much alike.....however you cut the cake...joe is a great guitarist..and i consider myself one of the lucky ones to have seen him over the years 8)....regards mate..den. :).

;D ;D.Cant argue with the comment on joe,s vocal talent,but i suppose what he lacks in that department ,he makes up for with his playing ability :).As he says in Big bad moon "I like it" ;D ;D ;D
