It's  a  tragic  and   sadly  under-reported  phenomenon.

Addiction  of any kind is a terrible affliction,  but how anyone can drink 140 litres  of veggie oil  is  beyond comprehension.

Keeps you regular though  I suppose  :P

140 litres ? thats like.... 7 cans ? I laugh in your general direction  ;D

We used to process about 7,000 litres a day back at the plant in 1000L IBC containers :)

I still have nightmares about the time i arrived at work only to find one of the minions had dropped an IBC off the fork lift from about 4 ft up - any idea what a thousand litres of UCO looks like loose on the floor ?  :o :o :o

Out of interest - do you filter and run direct or process it into bio, cheeky ?

7 tins of used is enough to do when you dont have a factory, however im hoping the supply will be regular, which is handy as its free. i've never used filtered veggie before but as the weather is starting to turn i'll probably mix it with a bit of diesel.
i know what the stuff's like to clear up; years ago when i worked in a pub/restuarant the chef for some stupid reason poured hot oil into a plastic oil tin when changing the oil in the fryers, was only 20 litres.....took him 3 hours to clean up the mess...oh how i laughed......
right then, wheres the leather cuffs.....

A few tips for you then if you're running straight waste oil :)

Firstly, do a little selection on the oil - and it's here that the cold weather is your friend ;) - seal the cans well and leave them outside in the cold.  This will make the contaminants and the saturates (crappy, fatty oils that will clog everything up) drop to the bottom of the cans, making your decanting easier.  Next, make sure you filter to a fine grade - start at about 500 micron filter mesh and then step down in halves till you hit 50 microns at least or you'll end up with constant clogging problem with your filters.

Looks like a right messin about to me, for the time it takes to do all that, you could probably earn enough cash to cover what you save doing all this malarkey in the first place, you could probably rent out the room it takes too.... ;D

I let mine stand for 7 days then pump it through a fuel filter straight into the tank :)

I go to the Gas station, plug it into the nozel, stand and press the button for a couple of minutes then go and pay half the cost of whatever price petrol is nowadays... :D

Cost £30 per 2 weeks to run my 4.3 ltr.... and not a bit of oil anywhare... ;D
