Finally got round to going snowboarding before I hit 40!!
Booked for Monday evening, so broken limbs for Christmas time!! }{

Anyone tried it??

Not yet, but I'm hoping to try it out at Tamworth's Snow Dome next year. I don't think I have the nerve to have a go on Aonach Mor yet! :D

Tried it once when skiing - bloke says an hours lesson is most you'll need - then just practice.

It's great fun - you'll discover some interesting ways to achieve rapid deceleration. ;D

Needless to say, me & the mates thought it was safer to stay on 2 skis.

1 bit of advice - if you lose it just pray you've got at least 100yds of clear piste (usual stopping distance for novices)

Oh nowhere exciting to start with, Braehead in Glasgow, has an indoor place for practicing, need a lesson first before I'm unleashed on the great outdoors :)

Braehead is so cool, ;)went there with my dad(73) but couldn't get him to come on..lol.. What a laugh he'd had..watching me falling about.. :) lmao now...
Was nt that the young ones( I reckon ages 4 upwards) who attend, are about knee height to a grasshopper and wizz past.
I might just take my camera down there tomorrow!!! ;)
