The engine and gearbox from this one are going to live in an old Cortina :D

Good luck John ;)

Thats my Scorpio fleet nearly in single figures again!! ;)

Sounds like an interesting project.
I thought there was an issue with the BOB ignition system / PATS making it tricky to transplant ?
Might feel like doing something like this to my XR4i at some point in the future.
Do you know if I can stick a 4x4 sump on the cossie lump ?

I believe it can be made to fit fairly easily if memory serves me right.

Yes the PATS is complicated, Johns plan is to utilise the entire Scorpio wiring system, fuse boxes, lighting looms the lot so theoretically there shouldnt be a problem ;)

You not going to try your 24v in the Corsair then Baz?  ;D

If you're prepared to live with an auto in whatever you transplant too, then it's just a rip out and transfer :)

Problem with EEC-V / BOB cossie comes when you try to put a manual box on the back on the engine - because the autobox controller is embedded on the ECU mainboard, it cant be easily tricked into working like the earlier BOA cossie ECUs could be.

BOB transplant is easy :) IF you budget an extra £500+ for an omex or Diamond management setup.....

Errrr..... NO

4 cylinders are more than enough in the Corsair Stuart!!

I'll soon have a spare S reg Ultima - I might plan on lifting the engine and dropping it in the Westfield on Megasquirt managment - now that would be interesting :-)

Wouldnt it be too heavy?? ;)

I've driven a Westfield with a Scorpio 2.0 16v installed and even that was seriously frightening  }{

Would need to be widened too over the standard westfield chassis - think they call it it the "fatboy" conversion (seriously !)  :)

Trouble is getting the power, and morover, the torque down to the road in one of those things - every year i watch a cossie powered westfield attempt the 0-60 sprint test at ford fair - and all he does is burn tyres and get naff times  ;D

Ahh, maybe I'm best sticking with by TB'd Pinto then - already @ 182bhp so that's plenty for a Westy.

I just miss not having something to swing a spanner on - I need a new project :-)
