Dave, I think this might be a case of un-intentional pressure on the key fob. I have come across this twice in the last fortnight. In both cases the owners were in the house or pub and somehow,unknowingly, pressed a button on the key fob in their pocket and opened the windows of their car which was parked nearby.(Obviously within range) In both case it was pouring with rain and they only found out when alerted by neighbours/customers :o.

hi there

we had a bad batch of chips we made for bmw.

when it got cold and snowed, all the windows would go down!

they were not too happy about it! }{

Funny you should say that Andrew. These were both BMW's !!! although to be fair I think the answer is as indicated. ;D

Hi all :)
I know that 2.5L volvo 850s suffer from the same abs light comming on after 15 mph problem as mine did and used the same ate type unit well almost now my fathers v70 got the same :o
Oh well out with the soldering iron i suppose ::)
