Why is it that i can look at my scorpio, which i just have, and think WOW what a great looking car, yet all at work see it as the ugliest thing they have ever seen??

I think the old saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" spring to mind. Im in the same boat Gost. Everyone at work recons it's an ugly duckling. there loss i suppose. The only people who slag off scorpios are the one's who have never been in one ;)

i have to admit i never liked the the look of the scorpio at first, even when i bough one i though it was ugly, but they very quickly grow on you i found, its different and compared to some of the new crap form asia they aint that bad at all. Id never part with mine, though i must say sitting in the brand spanker jaguar XJ at harewood i know what i'll look out for if the 24v ever died

From the drivers seat you don't see the front end 8)

Seriously though, Ford were ahead of the game IMHO - look at several cars made over the last 10 yrs or so, the new Mini, Mercs, etc... the styling influence is uncanny...

They probably say it's ugly because that's how the motoring press described it. They probably don't really have an opinion, just base their opinion on what they've read because they are too feeble minded to think for themselves & their judgements are clouded because they believe what they read in the press to be true ::)

I bet if the press had given the Scorp rave reviews etc when it first came out, then some peoples opinion of it would be completely different ;)

They're just sheep I tells ya....SHEEP !!!!!

when they first came out they were so different to other motors , that i think people were a bit shocked and first impressions were that it was ugly, but as scorpio mike says , ford were ahead of the game , and look around now , the scorpio looks better now and does not stick out so much anymore , you could say that the older they`ve got the younger they look , espessially the face lift ones

I agree with JC here, Sheep, All of em. The Scorpio is a beautiful car in all it's formats, I think ford should have been on a winner but for the idiots who were doing the reviews.... >:(White stickers I think... Blind as headless turkeys.

I still see them on the road and get that little feeling of longing....

One Day Maybe I will get another..... ::)
