Title: Cost of a 20p
Post by tonyboy on Jul 14th, 2009, 10:07pm
Just been looking at people selling 20p peices on ebay.
The ones with no date on either side was going between £95 - £130. Some people wanted £10,000 for one, also there are people selling 20p coins with no date on the tail side selling for about £7. Then there was someone on there being honest in that he had a 20p coin that he got from tesco's not a rare coin and not one of the coins with no date. Starting @ .99p P&P £2.50 sold for 75p.............  ???

It's unbelievable what people sell on there.

It has given me an idea though, how about an auction for 'positive feedback'. The winner bidder receives positive feedback.

I wonder how much that would make? You could have free P&P and don't actually have to provide anything at all, except feedback, which you would have had to do anyway on any auction.

With all these rare undated 20p coins fetching such a good price, I wonder how long it will be before we are inundated with indistinguishable forgeries ?  ;)
