If you want to watch programs in High Def you have two options.

1} Freesat of which you will ony get BBC HD and the odd ITV HD programme but plenty of other channels in SD.

2} Sky  Loads of HD content on there inc ITV HD for the "free" football.  (if you know how to add the channel)

I've had Sky HD for just over 12 mths now and love it.

PS. Freeview don't transmit anything in HD (yet)

Whilst on the subject of HD.

For those who have Sky+HD with the new EPG.
As you know ITV HD is not in the EPG regular listings.

Would you would like to watch the football on ITV HD but can't find the channel ?

Here is how to get it  >  http://www.tellytoad.com/page/itv-hd-on-sky-hd.aspx

Note:
This will not work if your Sky+HD set top box has the old style EPG
