Title: To paint, or not to paint ?
Post by Tons_of_fun on Mar 12th, 2010, 12:39pm
Hi all, im after some opinions  ::) ;). I have actually got a a few hours to spare on my own car this weekend so have decided to re paint the lower bumper spoiler ( loads of stonechips ). When finished i will have around 1/4 litre of paint left over, so i have been toying with the idea of colour coding the 'B' & 'C' pillars  :-/. Just wondering what you guys might think it will look like ??. The lower under bumper spoiler & front grill is already colour coded & i think it looks quite good, but was wondering if painting the pillars is a step too far  ::). All comments gratefully recieved. Cheers... Craig  :)

I would cut a piece of card to shape, paint that and stick it to the car with a bit of tape first - then stand back and see what you think !
If you don't like the look then it would be a lot easier to remove a bit of card than to clean the paint off your car  :o

I took Mikes advice & cut out a template with some A4 paper........Ooooohhhhh no !!!!!. I would think it would look quite good on a dark car, but not a white one  :(. It made it look like a boy racer special  ::). The paint didnt go to waste though. I ended up re painting the front grill as well....11 coats to be exact  :o. Lets see the stones get through that  ;D ;D ;D

Somehow I didn't think it would look right, glad to be of service.
