I've read some where that the new Ford Mondeo has a larger wheel base, and hence a bigger car than the Scorpio?

Is this really true, as it doesn't seem to be that way to me?

What's the room like inside compared to the Mondeo?
I notice they now offer memory seats as an optional extra!

iirc, the mk3 mondeo is the same size as the scorpio. it certainly feels as big, anyway.

the mk4 mondeo is bigger again.

i'll look out my handbook and post sizes.

the mk3 mondeo has 2mm more leg room in the front, but 1cm less in the rear.

overall size are very close, but the mk3 mondeo is slightly wider.

wheelbase is as follows... 2770 for the scorpio, 2754 for the mk3 mondeo.

as i said earlier, the mk4 iirc, is bigger again.

I had a MK3 Mondeo before my present Scorp & seem to remember that even though there is only 1cm more leg room in the rear of the Scorp, the back seat in the scorpio is alot deeper, so you sit alot further back http://smilearchive.com/s/contrib/sarge/TheSmile.gif

hi there

i've never sat in the back of my old scorpio or this mondeo, so don't really know. i know none of the family have said anything about a lack of space, so must be enough for them.

still, just back from the M-I-L's and i was getting 40mpg on the m/way.
