Title: Re: distributor cap Post by gozz on Apr 26th, 2010, 8:52am Snoopy. I have noticed that for some unknown reason the earlier cars seem to wear better on the body and retain their originality longer. |

Title: Re: distributor cap Post by Simmo on Apr 26th, 2010, 2:29pm Bit like Snoopy then!!. ;) Steady one old chap! remember who has the POWER!! ROFLMAO |

Title: Re: distributor cap Post by Snoopy on Apr 27th, 2010, 8:23am I agree the earlier ones do seem to be better fighting the tin worm attacks.... My old 12v http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/YaBBImages/sad.gif certainly did not have any rust problems when I sold it on. Still miss the old car but , I don't think I could afford to run it in today's climate. |

Title: Re: distributor cap Post by Tons_of_fun on Apr 27th, 2010, 12:15pm Your not wrong there Snoopy ! The novelty of careful driving & squeezing the most out of my fuel is now wearing off :-(. If fuel prices go any higher i will be reduced to public transport :-( :-( |

Title: Re: distributor cap Post by stuarte on Apr 27th, 2010, 9:54pm i drive a bus and use a rover 100 to get to work, 45 mpg, my scorpio comes out sunday for a litle luxury spin. 15 years ago i had an ex police car a 2.8 manual granada, it cost me £5 a day infuel, £2,50 a gallon to get to work and back. the moral is i drove at 55 mph on motorrway and accelerated so slowly from the lights, that i actually drove more carefully with a large engine. i also had a 1,8 diesel fiesta back then and i booted it sometimes abit without care and al because it did 55mpg. big engines actually make you drive more safely. |
