Title: Re: A Picture Post by lesterlad aka Rodders on Jul 7th, 2010, 5:48pm Are those reversing sensors that are on the sides of the number plate any good ? I've seen them in Halfords complete with number plate, I very nearly bought one but thought better of it until I could get feedback, hence the question |

Title: Re: A Picture Post by PJDavis on Jul 7th, 2010, 6:25pm HOI.................. That is most certainly NOT a Granada 'sticker' on the back. I was sick to bloody death of people calling the car a Granada, so put individual letters on the back 'Scorpio'. Thanks for saying it's looking good, it really is a great car. Yep they are after-market sensors on the plate, the Gal wanted them, and I put them on, saves the car getting 'dunted'. They seem to do the trick. Pete |

Title: Re: A Picture Post by PJDavis on Jul 8th, 2010, 9:30pm Aye, the sensors are good, I got them from a mate who changed over to a Jag from an Omega. The Jag had the sensors factory fitted, I asked for the Omega ones, and got them for a bottle of wine! |

Title: Re: A Picture Post by gozz on Jul 8th, 2010, 9:42pm Is that to stop someone pinching the wine then PJ ? ;) |

Ah, yes, the Towbar, must admit it has saved me from a cracked bumper or two. I have a wide angle Fresnel Lens in the rear window of my estate (they don't work very well for the saloon) and it does help when reversing into a tight spot and also up to my trailer, hitch directly above the ball every time. http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/2988/wideangle35357418.jpg (http://img824.imageshack.us/i/wideangle35357418.jpg/) Image uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us) |

Once took my Scorp for a council taxi MOT test a couple of years ago & the then carriage officer walked around it & said..."ah yes, a MK2 Mondeo " ??? .... ......but what made him look even sillier was the fact that he actually drove a MK2 Mondeo himself :o |

Title: Re: A Picture Post by Tons_of_fun on Jul 10th, 2010, 7:20pm No worse than going into a main dealer & have them ask if it's an American mondeo !!!! . Words fail me |

Title: Re: A Picture Post by Jonnycab on Jul 11th, 2010, 2:31am Drove into a main dealer a few years ago in my MK1 Granny....parked it right in front of the sales window (there was a nice a big space ;D). As I walked into the dealership there were (mainly) female sales staff trying to guess what it was that had just graced their front window (only said Ford on the grill). But a plucky young sales guy, who seemed to think he knew it all, stood up & said...... "haven't you lot ever seen a MK3 Cortina before !!" I told him it was actually a MK1 Granada & the young sales guy was met with a barrage of laughter from his female collegues.....I got the impression that they didn't like him very much ::) |

Title: Re: A Picture Post by NormanHall on Jul 11th, 2010, 6:49am Hows this then, when the ford dealer puts my reg no in the parts computer it comes up as a granada, with the old type front suspension but with the correct chassis number |
