My apologies - I didn't check the ebay listing and assumed it was this one - 150467580605 which ended on 21st July - now that one may be more to JC's taste.

Dread to think what the guy spent on the orange one - probably could have done a very good restoration to original spec instead for the same money - or less - why ???

Not too shabby Mike :)....although, I've never really been a big fan of the coupe. Personally, I always thought it looked a bit odd.

Watching the Sweeney as a kid, I new there was only one car that I wanted when I grew up....it had to have four doors & it had to be gold  ;)

JC.
I've never been able to understand the attraction of the coupe, they don't look right to me,whereas the saloon is in perfect proportion.A colleague of mine who deals in funeral cars, once had a stretched coupe,it was more in proportion than a saloon,I had a stretched saloon about the same time, they were Coleman Milne productions and known as mk5 Dorchesters, the up market ones being Grosvenor.
The current products bear the same handles, but owing to the demise of the big European Ford (Scorpio),are now on imported Australian Fairlanes, now up to mk10.

I also had a 3.0 ltr GT coupe in white with a tan vinyl roof many years ago, it used to go like s**t off a shovel, it was stolen by my ex wife and found in Aberdeen four weeks later along with her, needless to say I just took the car back, then a few months later some numpty ran into the back of it while it was parked outside my house and wrote it off.

Scorpio Mike....I'm not a Blur fan, but have always loved the Parklife video  :D....would have been better if it was a saloon ;)

Best bit is when Phil Daniels (of Quadrophenia fame) pulls up sharply at the zebra crossing next to an Audi convertible, driven by an 'of the day' vain & pretentious looking yuppie character, & says...."It's got nothing to do with your Vorsprung Durch Tecknik you know".....;)

A quick DVLA search of the coupe in the vid, reg plate 'WGO 480 R', shows that is still about, but SORN at the moment....like mine  ::)
