Title: Upholstery Cleaner ? Post by lesterlad aka Rodders on Sep 4th, 2010, 12:23pm I have been instructed to prepare my daughters car (Fiat ::) ) for selling, the biggest problem I'm having is the rear seats which are covered with ingrained mucky paw prints from her dog, I have tried a solution of laundry liquid with no success. Can anyone recommend a good upholstery cleaner ? Edit: Just tried "Vanish" upholstery cleaner and that's useless as well |

Title: Re: Upholstery Cleaner ? Post by lleewar on Sep 4th, 2010, 12:42pm Stupid as it sounds but just try a plain old bar of soap and a scrubbing brush. You will be amazed at what it can shift. Lee |

That foaming stuff you can get from motorists shops seems to wash the muck through the fabric with the aid of a nail brush,at least I think that's where it goes ::) failing that, tell her to get some cheap seat covers ;) GOZZ. |

Title: Re: Upholstery Cleaner ? Post by Jonnycab on Sep 5th, 2010, 2:14am Using upholstery cleaners to try & get a seat looking really nice are in my experience, a waste of time....you really need to wet the seat with soap & then suck the dirt out using a wet vac. I used to have an early MK3 Mondeo with cream cloth seats that would stain so bad, that just a few drops of rain water coming through the open door would make it look like someone had wet themselves on the seat ::) I tried all the various foam cleaners etc & none would get them looking nice again.....So I ended up buying a Bissel carpet cleaner with upholstery attachments off Ebay for £30......a bargain ;).....it had the seats looking like new :D |
