When did they stop fitting them ?

My latest Scorpio an R reg facelift Ghia hasnt got one ( not that its a problem )

I thought they all had them?

They never "stopped" fitting them as far as I'm aware. My Scorp Cossie (Ultima) was made in the last month of manufacture (possibly the last one) and it has a sunroof. However, base models (as in your Ghia) sometimes didn't have sunroofs.

I think the ghia then had become the base model in 1997, but i thought they all had a sunroof...

Stixy.
I had a P reg Ghia without sunroof,and believe it was an extra on that spec,the aforementioned had no aircon either,but I would expect that would have been a decision by someone not to partake in this complex and troublesome modern invention !!

:0 I remember people at the time scared of catching Legionnaires' disease from air con systems .

This is the first one i have seen without a sunroof but with air con and leather . i just assumed sunroofs were standard across the range .

FWIW so did I, the main difference being whether it's electric or not. Maybe the option was NOT have it (?) e.g. get it by default unless you say otherwise ;D

If you read This page (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/specifications.htm) it may help throw some light on the subject. FWIW my Ultima Estate has climate Control and an Electric Sunroof but not 12 spoke alloys. It seems there are many variables which accounts for the apparent anomalies.
