Title: Show us your Scorpio (s) Post by Matt on Oct 8th, 2010, 10:03am Seeing as we have so many members and a few of us have/had more then one scorpio why not share a picture or 2 of them heres My first http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Picture016.jpg 1998 R reg 24V Sadly ended up wrapped round a sign post snapping the rear subframe and tearing the bolt hoes as i later found out RIP! http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Photo-0041.jpg http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Photo-0047.jpg http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/5030fnp.jpg http://s1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/?action=view¤t=5z1bgc2.jpg Next 1998 2.3 estate, Bought as a non runner as head had cracked http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Picture029.jpg http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Picture030.jpg http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Picture024.jpg I ended up putting the complete 2.0 top end on thus making it essentially an rs2300 unit Then 1995 12V. Bought this to Repair the old cossie but it ended up being gutted and sold for parts. Only pics i had of it :(. As you can see i started to repair it before changing my mind http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Photo-0060.jpg http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Photo-0062.jpg Then 1995 TD cat C write off http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/Photo-0108.jpg Soon had the damage bits off and new bits fitted. However It found its self being the donor for the 24v manual http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/P140108_1354.jpg http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/P140108_1513.jpg Then 1996 24v, still own this one, has manual gear box and other mods to come include the 4.0 and a 1 off body kit http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/P1341_06-10-09.jpg Then 2.3 1998 Reg bought from a scrap yard originally to put back on the road only to find out it had already been filed as disassembled, so planned to use it for parts and to made a show going escort van, plans changed and it ended up going back to the scrap yard it came from minus the face lift bits http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/P080308_1136.jpg then 1998 facelift. Bought between Craig and Myself, was stripped to keep our 24's on the road http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/DSCI0042.jpg Next 1995 24v, bought for 1p !!! hence it gained the nickname penny :D cleaned up a treat as you can see, took me and my girlfriend to the isle of white before being sold to my neighbour http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/P1420_07-03-10.jpg and finally a super early 2.5 TD (still runs the granada setup engine wise) its exchanged hands a lot quite recently, currently at work having a few issues fixed http://i1219.photobucket.com/albums/dd429/Matt24v/Scorpio%20Related/225008.jpg Sorry about the LARGE pics, i will resize after work (just about to leave as this took longer as i thought lol) ;D |

Perhaps not a great concern for Scorpio owners, but there is a lot of info that can be obtained based on the registration like your home address, derived from that even more info like phone number etc. But in my case it was because I don't own it anymore. It was a 2.3 Ultima saloon and hadn't been used for a while. I went down with my dad and a battery. After sticking the battery on it and jumping it it ran. I rang my local mot station in birmingham, booked an mot that day and drove it straight there....delivery sorted and it passed after sorting a couple of minor issues! I kept this along side the Back estate and sold it before the estate. http://usera.ImageCave.com/HampsonHaulage/WelshScorp/Midmeet130607005.jpg Unfortunately scorpio less now, driving a 2007 diesel ST mondeo Estate. If they still made them, I'd still have a diesel scorp estate. Cheers Paul |

Title: Re: Show us your Scorpio (s) Post by rich170361 on Jul 19th, 2011, 2:29pm thanks pj, the interior is like new a little bit of wear on the drivers seat from getting in and out but other than that its spotless, and yes the exhaust is a custom stainless steel back box |

Title: Re: Show us your Scorpio (s) Post by PJDavis on Feb 6th, 2012, 5:53pm I washed 'Old-Movvy today about 4.20pm. I really like this car, even with the winter-wheels and horrible wheel-trims. It's very cold up here, minus 6 just now, and has been minus 10-12 overnight, and we're expecting a cold one tonight again, but my car starts first time every time, even though it's outside all night, and selects 'D' in under two seconds straight away! Title: Re: Show us your Scorpio (s) Post by Jeff on Feb 6th, 2012, 10:24pm Nice paintwork: car looks like new! Um...it also has 4 wheels, which is always useful. Sorry, but yuk. You have to change them. Can't you scrounge some old alloys off someone. I've got 4 I don't need, but need wheels of some sort on the deceased estate they're on. Anyone? We gotta help this bloke in the bog... |
||
Title: Re: Show us your Scorpio (s) Post by PJDavis on Feb 7th, 2012, 9:25am Aye, I agree it looks awful with the 'winter-wheels' on! I have a full set of five 12 spoke alloys that have just been powder-coated, so better than new, carrying 225 Avons. It's amazing how much better the car looks with the alloys, but I refuse to use them in the winter because it's almost pure salt they put on the road up here from beginning November through to middle March. |
||
Title: Re: Show us your Scorpio (s) Post by lleewar on Feb 7th, 2012, 5:42pm I have a spare set of tear drop alloys but not worth spending money on them if you are not fussed what the car looks like for just a few months. Lee |

Title: Re: Show us your Scorpio (s) Post by PJDavis on Feb 9th, 2012, 8:12am Aye. I'm out in the countryside about 2 miles from the nearest 'B' road. I bought the field at the back of the house a good many years ago, the local friendly farmer uses it each year for small crops, like tatties, carrots, cabbage etc. Keeps us in veg of that type for the year! But it's low-lying in an East-West valley, so gets very cold and frosty at this time. We've had a couple of minus 10-12 this year already, and that's without any real snow yet. |
