I could sit and play with this for hours ;D

It shows current UK car numbers by model and engine size either still taxed or SORN'd

i think maybe we should sticky it somewhere on the forum, makes interesting reading and looks to be updated quarterly.

Some interesting figures, especially the new registrations, there looks to be the odd Scorpio still being first registered as late as last year, 2010! :o

Imported ones possibly? Surely not new ;D

According to this there are only 28 Ultima TD Auto's left,

21 taxed and 7 SORN'd

Two of them were at Harewood ;)

Very interesting !
This months Practical Classics gave a rundown on some once common cars - out of 1.3 million Sierras produced only 12,000 or so left :o

I don't think it shows 1st registrations Stuart.... it just shows those being registered as in taxed I think.

Just checked Corsairs and there are just over 200 on the road according to the site..... probably not far off!

Uses the DVLA database Geoff so it should be as accurate as we're going to get, I daresay there are a few pre-technology older models that have dropped off the radar and are still hiding in garages etc

Baz,

when the list first appears showing the various models/engine types etc, click on an actual model.

On the new page that opens, the third column shows new registrations within the last ten years.

I'm wondering if they are imported models and given "new" age related plates?

OR

restored vehicles that have lost their original identity?

I'm kinda sure we'd have heard about any 60 plate Scorpios by now ;D

Looks to be about right Mike.

That 2.9 Ghia 4x4 Estate I have looks to one of only 88 left :-/

Greatest by far is Ultima 16V autos.

Wow there are >30 16V auto Execs ;D

And 1 Granada Scorp 4x4 I...
