Title: Re: Lesterlad in da house! Post by lesterlad aka Rodders on Jun 21st, 2011, 3:16pm They released me last night Stuart and I'm pain free for now. They kept me in for three days and filled me with pills, I now have to take a total of 15 a day including my diabetic ones, (I now rattle like a 24v with a worn chain tensioner, ;D ) No invasion procedure was done to remove the stones, they are classed as to small for an operation (4mm) so I have to wait until they pass and possibly crack the toilet bowl in the process ( hmm I wonder if I could claim for that ;D ) I have to go back this Friday to be injected with a dye and an x-ray, they then might decide what to do if their in the same position. I wouldn't wish kidney stone pain on anyone, apparently it's worse than childbirth pain.....so I'm led to believe ::) |

Title: Re: Lesterlad in da house! Post by Simmo on Jun 21st, 2011, 4:09pm Rod, I only once saw a mate with this problem and I never want to see another !!. You are right in that it is absolutely dreadful and usually only morphine will relieve it. Good luck. Mike. |

Title: Re: Lesterlad in da house! Post by Andycan on Jun 21st, 2011, 5:52pm Sorry to hear of your condition it is very painful. I would have thought they might have broken them down with ultrasound. I have morphine tablets and they make me very sick so I only take them if I am in agony. Get well soon. Andy |

Title: Re: Lesterlad in da house! Post by lesterlad aka Rodders on Jul 13th, 2011, 11:43pm Update I have been asked by a couple of members how I'm doing since my release from I have had no pain whatsoever since and now going about my daily My dear wife has seen to it that I don't slip in to the 'poorly man' syndrome by getting me to 1.. decorate and lay new carpet on the landing-stairs and tile the hall floor. 2.. cut all the privet surrounding the house to an acceptable height and depth. Maybe in a week or two I may be able to start doing things that I want to do, ......the only problem though is with being retired there is never enough hours in a day. |
