They released me last night Stuart and I'm pain free for now.

They kept me in for three days and filled me with pills, I now have to take a total of 15 a day including my diabetic ones,
(I now rattle like a 24v with a worn chain tensioner, ;D )

No invasion procedure was done to remove the stones, they are classed as to small for an operation (4mm) so I have to wait until they pass and possibly crack the toilet bowl in the process ( hmm I wonder if I could claim for that ;D  )

I have to go back this Friday to be injected with a dye and an x-ray, they then might decide what to do if their in the same position.

I wouldn't wish kidney stone pain on anyone, apparently it's worse than childbirth pain.....so I'm led to believe  ::)

Rod, I only once saw a mate with this problem and I never want to see another !!. You are right in that it is absolutely dreadful and usually only morphine will relieve it. Good luck. Mike.

Sorry to hear of your condition it is very painful. I would have thought they might have broken them down with ultrasound.

I have morphine tablets and they make me very sick so I only take them if I am in agony.

Get well soon.

Andy

Update

I have been asked by a couple of members how I'm doing since my release from prison hospital.

I have had no pain whatsoever since and now going about my  daily life duties.

My dear wife has seen to it that I don't slip in to the 'poorly man' syndrome by getting me to
1.. decorate and lay new carpet on the landing-stairs and tile the hall floor.
2.. cut all the privet surrounding the house to an acceptable height and depth.

Maybe in a week or two I may be able to start doing things that I want to do, ......the only problem though is with being retired there is never enough hours in a day.
