how much does an engine hold ?
take for example my 2.0lt 16v .
strange question i know , but i get these weird moments from time to time !!

2.0/2.3 is about 4.5 litres with filter. This is wrong though ::)....4.5 litres only just touches the bottom mark of the dipstick ::)

When I do an oil/filter change (after letting it drip for an hour), I can get just over 5 litres in (I use a measuring jug) to get it to the top mark of the dipstick :)

I always just pour 5 litres in,it may be a little high but doesn't do any harm.

A measuring jug is very useful though.
