Just thought I would say hello from a new owner.

My friend and I have bought a '95 Scorpio (24v) limo for our yearly pilgrammage to the Le-Mans 24 Hour race.

It's a well kept example with only 34,000 miles.

Already the website and forum has taught me how to program in the remote after fitting new batteries and not to worry about the tensioner rattle that I get for 2 or 3 secs on a cold start up.

First thing is a VSS swapout as the speedo won't go over 35 MPH yet the speedo test/check shows that all needles are free to move and the 2nd and 3rd gears thump in a little when driving slowly - the oil and ATF look clear though and it has a FORD service history.

Finally, good advice about a battery tray - I am watching one on Ebay - Would never have known about that problem till it was too late.

Hi and welcome to the site. You will not find a better, more knowledgeable bunch of guys for the Ford Scorpio. There is nothing the guys don't know about this enigma of a car. Hope we can all be of some help in keeping your car on the road.
If your are talking about the battery cover, you definitely need one. I have one if you need it and always ask for parts in the "Parts Wanted" section. Someone will generally have what you want.

Hello justin. Thought I would mention that I have been going to le manns for about 15 years now. Would not miss it for anything. I have been takeing my scorpio ultima 24v now for the last 10 years. It is normally the rarest car there.Never seen another one there or traveling down to le manns.
