Just done a qiuck check on our next scorpio its a S reg 24v facelift model and its came up as september 1998. I think this is quite a late one isnt it? I do know of a y reg one i think the number plate was Y***BBC i think. So is ours one of the last?

Yea thats a late one mate, should also have the air bags in the front seats to!

Found a buyer for the 2.3?

Nah mate not yet. Be sad to see it go its been a great car for us over the years.

I think a lot of them sat around for a while in showrooms. Mines a pre-facelift that was manufactured in June 1997, but it was registered in August 1998. I have the original receipt for my car and the next down consecutive registration which was also a State Blue Ultima. Both cars cost £19,800 each at a time when the list price was about £25k.

01 08 1995

Scorpio Exec 16V auto, saloon, fleet vehicle for Balfour Beatty, until sold 2000. Reg'd in Northamption (I think), but seemed to have spent most of its time around Surrey. Still got the extra aerial for their private radio 'phone.

Then it was on Canvey Island for 2 years, then a neighbour had it for 2 years, then I got it ;D

Thats a early one then mate. You mentioned two aireals well our scorpio at the minuite November 1997 has two one in normal spot and another by back window? What could that be for then? ???

Daniel, The "Y" reg one was first registered in 1998 I believe and it then had a private plate put on it until 2000. When the plate was taken off, the DVLA mistakenly put a "Y" plate on it instead of the "R" or "S" that it should have been..... or that was the stroy I heard anyway

As for late model cars, I had a a few May & June 98 build cars (which was the last month they were manufactured) na d have had July, October and November 1998 registered cars. All the Scorpios I ever owned were facelift cars and most were S reg ones at that! Hence I had the registration plate S2.9 COS.... which I sold last week as it happens!

Yes I know mine's an early one ;D
