These banner adverts that appear at the bottom of the site pages, do we have to click on them to earn the site some money ?

I have disabled Adblock on this site in the hope it helps generate some dosh.

Must say haven't seen it display anything meaningful yet in terms of actual ads, e.g. this current page first linked to: adbrite.com/mb/commerce/purchase_form.php, i.e. it's an ad for adbrite. In fact so far they mostly seem to be ads just for Adbrite. Or metanet, etc., 'Play Now' / 'Download'. Errrm...

So happens I've got Google adsense ads on mine and usually get a good variation of different ads, context prompted by matching words in the body of the the page. (?)

NB: it's a good idea to have a footer banner at the bottom of the page, same as I've done it, that way it's easier for the user not to look at it if they don't want to.

I have a PCWorld/Currys ad running on the banner at the moment.

Sometimes the footer ad won't let the browser 'back button' work ... http://livinginthepast-audioweb.co.uk/images/misc/unsure.gif

I'll clarify that ~ it might eventually work, but so far I can't wait long enough to find out
