Title: A nice long run Post by rich1 on Jul 21st, 2012, 11:31am Well ive had my new scorpio since easter and the longest run its had is to peterborough (78 miles) but thats about to change . July 31st me and the trouble will be having a couple of nights at rockcliffe hall . Somewhere up north called darlington ;-) . Stuck it in aa routeplanner and its told me its 257.2 miles from my humble abode . Really looking forward to the journey , motor is having a service next week so fingers crossed there wont be any problems . Bit worried about taking it that far north tho , heard the locals are strange and talk with a funny accent but hey ho :-) will let you know how the trip went ( well certain parts anyway;-) !!) my missus thinks im wierd because im looking forward to the drive more than the stay !! Women eh? |

Aint been this far north for many years , since i went to newcastle for a arsenal match , not much has changed . Wet and grey !!!! Btw it took just under 4 hours to get here and blimey , rockcliffe hall is uber posh . I could get used to this :-) . Off for a massage and a swim now and maybe a little drinky poos to , later peasants ;-) |

Title: Re: A nice long run Post by rich1 on Aug 2nd, 2012, 4:37pm Well, home sweet home . 515.7 mile round trip absolutlely no problems at all . Total petrol cost £102.00 , im sure the maths geniuses will work out the mpg but to me i thought it was pretty good . Speed comfort you cannot beat the ford scorpio ;D |

Title: Re: A nice long run Post by rich1 on Aug 2nd, 2012, 4:57pm Im no maths buff but im sure that works out at 26.1 mpg . Both garages i filled up at (darlinton & epping ) where 131.9 , it was 55 quid in darlington and then 47 nicker in epping. Was probably averaging between 75/80 mph until i hit the m25 (no surprise i guess ) |
