Hi everyone
Just wondering how i can find the bulid date of our scorpio 24v. It was brought in September 98 i know that dosnt mean anything because it could of been standing for a while but it has got the front airbags in the seats so i do think its quite late. Also how do you know where the car was from by the number plate?

Sorry just found this and got my answer http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/dates.htm May 1998 :) Any help on where it originally came from?

If you mean where was it made that is also coded on the VIN plate. If you mean where was it first registered you need to post the letters of the Reg. Leave the numbers out ie: N...ABC and I'm sure someone will answer unless you trawl through a Google search for the registration authority which used the last two letters. Mine for example ends CD which is a Brighton mark. :) The first letter is of course a year letter.

Thanks Mate The plate is S**LWN :)
WN is Swansea. We brought it from Cardiff so it might have lived in wales all its life until we brought it.
